I finally hauled my lazy ass to Borders and with the pittance the government gifted me with, bought myself 2 books: Empress Orchid by Anchee Min and Vince and Joy by Lisa Jewell. (And I found out that the gift card actually had $50 instead of $30. Whatever. Still pathetic.) I wanted to get The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella, but it was nowhere to be found. *Wails*
I wanted to stay in Borders forever and ever. *Orgasms* Too many books I just have to read.

I know I'm really slow, but I didn't buy Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, so I just finished it after I borrowed it from a friend. And I'm still reeling from the disappointment. Spoilers ahead.
It isn't because Dumbledore died, but the way he died. It's just so meaningless and dumb. No one wants to read how a great, knowlegeable wizard that they all admire turned into a complete fool. And it's a bad move to kill Dumbledore, it's almost equivalent to killing Harry Potter. You're losing your brand equity, Rowling. Oopsy, the Marketing student in me said that. I think you're losing your touch too! 75% of the book takes place within the Pensieve, in series of long, droning, boring memories.
And I'd like to know how Rowling is going to continue her stupid books from now on since she made the whole plot a gigantic mess and Harry Potter isn't returning to Hogwarts anymore. I'm sorry, but Hogwarts is the fun part of the story, not battling Voldemort. Without Hogwarts, the plot isn't going to be even a quarter as interesting.
Is it just me or is Harry Potter getting increasingly unlikeable with each and every book? All that snooping around is dishonourable and not befitting of a superhero, methinks.
That aside, what the hell is with all the romantic entanglements going on in the book? It's disgraceful! It looked like Rowling was trying too hard to pair everyone up. The pairings were too predictable, and all the snogging that took up pages and pages of the book did nothing to the plot development at all. If I wanted to read meaningless, predictable teenage romance stories, I'd read Sweet Valley, thank you very much.
I felt so little sense of urgency reading the book that I felt cheated. This is the book I was waiting for? The characters seem to lack any growth and depth. Who is the Half-Blood Prince? Oh, Snape. Who seemingly just blurted it out when nobody even asked him. What a lousy revelation. And that's all there is to it. Disappointing, isn't it? There weren't many surprises in this book, were there? And what happened to the thrilling tale about how Dumbledore's hand got injured? No news about that either.
It seemed that she was just making this book so draggy and thick just to justify its high price tag.
I could go on and on about all the flaws in this book, but I'm so deflated, I half-hoped I was completely delusional. Maybe I should read the book again. But I doubt that will make it any better. I've read fanfics better than this.

My papa is so cute. I know what you're thinking. How is this supposed to fill my stomach for breakfast and lunch? Well, I thought it wouldn't.
I was wrong.
It was so fuqn spicy, I downed 5 glasses of water in rapid succession and now I think I don't even need dinner anymore. Bloated. Argh!

I'm so disappointed with you guys. So many asked me on MSN which of the below listed are true and which are false. Here goes:
I dot my ‘i’s with hearts
False. Dotting 'i's with hearts take such an awfully long time! I write in script, not print!
I can calculate mad numbers as long as they are accompanied by a dollar sign in front
True. I'm surprised you haven't caught on to the fact that I have l33t money management skills!
I’ve read Charlotte’s Web at least 5 times
True. I loved that book!
I own 6 blushers
False. Who needs 6 blushers? You're reading the blog of the girl who was using an unknown blusher that surfaced from goodness-knows-where. No brand, lousy packaging, the works. Until the lid broke off. Then she got herself another cheapo blusher that looks exactly the same when worn.
I’ve had more boyfriends than my fingers can count
False. I have 10 fingers, and my boyfriend count is definitely less.
I listen to Hokkien songs
True. Yes, I do.
Pei knows me so well. Awww. And Cessy was right too. But she probably copied Pei's answers. Hmph.

Because my bitchy self is bursting with comments.
He won. Why am I not surprised? Too many sympathetic votes.
Honestly, did you even listen to him singing with Lin Junjie? I think that speaks for itself. JJ may be ugly, but boy, can he sing. Weilian? Nah uh.

I decided not to depend on my polymates to commit to their appointments. Apparently, it's too much to ask. The rest of you, finish up your exams and all that already!
I went shopping alone today and got this pair of gorgeous heels for $33.

It's a bit more boring to shop alone, but beats arranging to meet some people who won't turn up.

So I got stood up again for the second time this week. This is really starting to suck. And the worst thing is, they don't seem to find anything wrong with cancelling on you just when you're going out the door.
